FDR and The Holocaust

ih.constantcontact.com

During the presidency of FDR, many people believe that he did not live up to the full potential people expected him to do during The Holocaust. FDR, in the people’s mind was too focused on how the United States could be perfect, he forgot that the more important thing is saving as many Jews. The source “Daily Caller” was published in 2013 by Jaime Weinstein who sounds reliable because he is a senior writer, and the source looks more like a newspaper. Therefore the information is most likely to be true. A newspaper would tend not to put incorrect information in it.

While FDR was president, he had to overcome many choices that resulted in people disagree with him. First he could have started to save lives, around 190,000. He could have done this by quietly permitting immigration quotas to fill legal rights. He could have taken some Jews out of some of Hitler’s concentration camps. Although these could have been great ideas, during the time, Hitler was a very powerful man, and his guards could have possible to hold their own against America. Hitler would have been able to find a way even if he had to sacrifice some of the Jews in his camps he would have been fine with that.

Some possible future questions include:
*What could the military have done differently?
*Could anyone else have promoted better plan?
