How do Government Decisions Affect the Economy?

Source: http://image.slidesharecdn.com

The government is responsible for our economy. Good or bad, they play a major role. They make a difference through spending, assistance to us, and lending us direct services. They take control indirectly or directly, so they can benefit their country. The information is based off a trust-able website, which is from a university. It is trustworthy as it is recent and most key points are facts or information that can be backed up facts. However, one may susceptible about this website as the author is not a government worker himself. This means that they do not have inside information and can’t see what really happens.

An article about government decisions describes a lot as it may not be inside information. The author explains that businesses are regulated by the government for the greater good. The author explains they do this in multiple ways. The article states, “The government regulates and controls private enterprise in many ways in order to ensure that business serves the the best interests of the people as a whole.” This means that the government wants equality for everyone and not just a select group of people. This leads to the fact that the government controls the economy because private enterprises make a great difference in whether the economy succeeds of fails. The government does this as some businesses may offer better deals to a select group of people. The government stops this, but in doing so, they impact the economy, not just minorly, but majorly, as many Americans own/work for businesses.
The government also impacts the economy by offering us direct support. They offer direct services, that benefit us and ensure our safety daily. The article explains how the government creates and takes care of highways, police, and education system. By doing these, the government spends money on this. Since government spending plays a major role in the economy (fact based on the article), the services they offer are essentially making a major difference. All in all, the government does a lot of role play in the economy, but most of the time, they aim for the people’s benefits.
