Values have a lot to do with happiness, for example if you are superstitious and you have to wear a certain hat to a game, then that hat is much more valuable to you than any other person. In the working world, values play a big role because when you are in a company you all have to have similar values so you can all achieve the same goal. The money you are making is more valuable to you now because you have a goal with what you are going to do with it once you save enough. I think that values work hand in hand with happiness because happiness is formed by values and getting what you want.
