What makes Jimi Hendrix so unique?
Jimi Hendrix was one of the most unique guitarists of all time. Jimi was a pioneer when it came to using his guitar amplifier feedback to make music. Guitar amplifier feedback is an undesired sound the amplifier makes when the guitar and amp are too close together. Jimi often times played a Fender Stratocaster but switched the strings around to enable him to play lefty. This gave him a unique sound because of the slant of pickups on electric guitars. His lowest string had a brighter sound while his highest string had a darker sound. Jimi would also turn all the knobs on his amplifier to the maximum level, which became known as the “Hendrix Setting”.
