This shows that the American’s wanted to help , but since they were unable to be fully aware of it, they couldn’t do much. Even before that, FDR was dealing with many situations of his own regarding his position as President. He couldn’t juggle two things at once, he only made one good, and one suffer. But even before that Hitler had to gain power somehow. The website “Brain Blogger” says that Hitler had to sell himself to all the Germans to show that he could be trusted. No one actually knew that what he was doing was a bad thing. He always said bad things about the Jews and the Germans went along.
