World Bank Approves Funds to Help Bring Clean Water to Urban Residents[press release]

Every time you turn that faucet on, 1 billion people worldwide are envious of you and two billion wish they had water as clean as yours. Be appreciative and conservative of your water because about half the world is dying to have some.

The water crisis has gotten so bad to the point that, “One billion people worldwide already lack access to clean water, and more than two billion are without proper sanitation.” The water crisis is such an important thing to fix because, “agriculture…accounts for about 70 percent water use.” Furthermore, the unsanitized water is affecting the, “crops necessary to feed a burgeoning world population.”

These statistics show that water population should be the #1 crisis to fight against in the world. The water crisis has gotten so far that, “two billion are without proper sanitation,” which ⅓ of the world is spreading disease that kills more and more humans. Not only is the water crisis aiding in the spread of disease, it is also destroying the world’s agriculture because it, “accounts for about 70 percent of all water use.” Water is the most essential compound on Earth and if that is filthy, then the whole world will become filthy and diseased, resulting in chaos.
